Handel’s ‘MESSIAH’ 2011 – OUR YEAR

Practices are held on Monday nights in St Stephen’s Uniting Church, Macquarie Street. Practices started on Monday 10 October at 7:15pm.

A full rehearsal with choir, organ, soloists and orchestra will be held in the Sydney Town Hall on Monday 12 December, 2011 at 6:00pm

Attendance - To be eligible to take part in the Presentation, choristers will need to attend at least 80% of rehearsals.

Registration Fee - Most choristers recognised the need for a chorister registration fee and remarked that our fees were much lower than for other choirs. The registration fees this year will be the same as last year, namely

These registration fees should be paid when attending the second choir practice, at which time your attendance sheet will be duly annotated.

Each chorister must have his/her own copy of the Messiah musical score (Prout Edition, preferably) Copies are available for sale at Mondays evening at practice times.
